The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) officially announced the Higher Secondary (HS) Results 2025 today at 9 AM. The results for Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams are now available online for over 3 lakh students who appeared for the exams.

Arts Stream: Highest Participation, Steady Performance

A total of 2,26,756 students appeared in the Arts stream—the highest among all. With 1,84,745 passing, the stream recorded a pass percentage of 81.03%.

  • First Division: 49,577
  • Second Division: 80,650
  • Third Division: 53,518
    Baksa district stood out with a 95.21% pass rate, while Cachar performed the worst with only 58.96%.

Science Stream: Best Overall Performance

Of the 56,909 students who took the Science exam, 48,309 passed—an 84.88% pass rate, the highest among all streams.

  • First Division: 25,827
  • Second Division: 19,286
  • Third Division: 3,196
    West Karbi Anglong achieved a perfect 100% result, followed by Sivasagar (97.13%) and Baksa (95.66%). Dima Hasao lagged behind with just 56.27%.

Commerce Stream: Stable Results, South Salmara Excels

In Commerce, 17,746 students appeared and 14,584 passed, leading to a pass rate of 82.18%.

  • First Division: 6,519
  • Second Division: 5,760
  • Third Division: 2,305
    South Salmara outshone all districts with a flawless 100% pass rate among its 11 candidates.

Vocational Stream: Lower Turnout, Modest Results

Vocational courses recorded a 68.55% pass rate. Female candidates performed notably better, securing a 74.39% pass rate versus 65.53% among male students.

Female Students Lead Across Streams

Girls once again outperformed boys in every stream. In Arts, the female pass rate was 82.95%, while boys stood at 78.42%. In Science, it was 85.54% vs 84.39%, and in Commerce, 82.40% vs 82.08%.


In a notable shift, ASSEB did not release any toppers’ list this year, moving away from the traditional approach of highlighting individual scores.
