Hyundai has once again emphasized its dedication to water conservation and sustainable practices by endorsing dry wash service for its customers throughout its extensive service network and workshops in India on World Water Day 2024.

The Korean company promotes Dry Wash as a viable alternative to the conventional car washing method, which typically uses around 120 litres of water per wash. Initially launched in 2017 as part of a water conservation effort, Dry Wash is an eco-friendly, waterless car cleaning solution that can be easily carried out at any location.

Tarun Garg, the Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited, emphasized the company’s unwavering dedication to HMC’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’ by actively promoting a greener and more sustainable future. Through the implementation of the Dry Wash service initiative, Hyundai has successfully conserved a staggering 650 million litres of water, benefiting over 5.5 million cars serviced within Hyundai’s extensive network in India over the course of the past 5 years. This substantial amount of water saved would be sufficient to meet the daily water requirements of more than 4.8 million individuals. Hyundai extends its sincere appreciation to its customers for their forward-thinking mindset and enthusiastic embrace of waterless washing, as it plays a significant role in shaping a sustainable tomorrow.

In addition to its Dry Wash services, HMIL goes above and beyond in its commitment to environmental responsibility by implementing various eco-friendly initiatives throughout its dealer and service network. These initiatives include the use of waterborne paint systems, paperless processes, LED lighting, solarization, and rainwater harvesting, among others.

To ensure a seamless service experience, Hyundai offers 360° digital and contactless service facilities. This includes the convenience of online booking, regular updates on vehicle status, and the option for home or office pick-up and drop services. Customers can also access the Hyundai Chatbot on the company’s website, which provides information on new vehicles, test drives, and service scheduling. With over 1,500 workshops operating across India, Hyundai strives to provide top-notch service to its customers.
