Police have reported that two individuals, whose identities remain unknown, discharged their firearms outside the Mumbai residence of Bollywood star Salman Khan on Sunday morning. The incident involved the firing of four shots near the Galaxy Apartments located in the Bandra region, where the actor currently resides.
The police have reported that a group of forensic science specialists has arrived at the location. Joint Commissioner of Police Satyanarayan Chaudhary (Law and Order) stated that efforts are underway to identify and locate the perpetrator(s) involved in the incident. Additionally, a team of forensic experts has been collecting evidence at the scene. The police have confirmed that a bullet struck the wall of the building.
As per a law enforcement officer present at the location, two individuals with helmets arrived on a motorcycle from the Bandstand direction and discharged four to five shots towards the structure and into the sky. Due to the low quality of the CCTV footage and the darkness of the surroundings, the registration number of the bike was indiscernible. Both the rider and the passenger were donning helmets. We are enlisting the assistance of technical specialists to enhance the CCTV footage and gather some potential leads regarding the incident.
Bandra police station and crime branch have established various police teams to investigate the case of the unidentified bikers. Surveillance footage from the area is currently under examination to trace the route taken by the bikers and the direction in which they escaped, as stated by an official. Additionally, the Bandra police are carrying out a thorough inspection of the crime scene and taking statements from witnesses who heard the gunshots. The process of filing an FIR against the two unidentified bikers is currently underway.
