Chaos erupted on an Air India flight destined for Vadodara from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport after authorities found a tissue paper in the airplane’s restroom with the word “bomb” scribbled on it, according to police reports released on Thursday.
On Wednesday evening, during the flight’s pre-take-off preparations at around 7 pm, a crew member came across a distressing message. The situation prompted swift action, with the Central Industrial Security Force and the Delhi Police promptly notified to address the matter.
In light of the potential threat, passengers were promptly directed to disembark the aircraft, and security personnel conducted a thorough search of the plane. Despite the tense situation, the investigation revealed no evidence of any explosive device or suspicious items onboard.
After receiving clearance from security officials, passengers were put at ease and subsequently transferred to another flight in order to proceed with their travel to Vadodara. The prompt response and precautionary actions implemented by the authorities played a crucial role in guaranteeing the safety and welfare of all individuals on board, including passengers and crew members.
