During the current second phase of general elections, residents living in 44/68 Raima Valley Assembly segment, a distant region of Tripura’s Dhalai district opted to use boats as their means of transportation to participate in the voting process.

The remarkable involvement and active involvement of the residents underscore the factors contributing to the unprecedented voter participation rate of 36.42% in the state during the ongoing elections. According to the most recent updates provided by the Chief Electoral Office of Tripura, the average polling percentage reached 54.08% as of 1 pm.

The Tripura East Parliamentary Constituency comprises of the assembly segments of Dhalai, North, Unakoti, Khowai, as well as four assembly constituencies from South Tripura and three assembly constituencies from Gomati district.

The Chief Electoral Office had earlier stated that the democratic event had started smoothly at all 1664 polling stations in the state, drawing significant participation from dedicated voters. Furthermore, security arrangements were heightened across Tripura to ensure that the elections were conducted in a secure and fair manner, and that peace and order were maintained throughout the process.
