Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced the electoral campaign in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, delivering a compelling address that highlighted the BJP’s achievements and future vision for the state. Speaking at a rally, PM Modi emphasized significant milestones, ranging from the historic abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir to the widespread distribution of free ration to 80 crore people nationwide.

In a sharp rebuke to the opposition, PM Modi accused the INDI alliance of prioritizing the protection of corrupt practices. He called upon voters to choose between endorsing corruption or advancing the nation’s development agenda, citing his government’s robust actions against corruption and the redirection of seized assets towards national development initiatives.

The rally witnessed the presence of notable leaders including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Lok Sabha candidate Arun Govil from Meerut, RLD Chairman Jayant Chaudhary, SB SP OP Rajbhar, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini, and UP Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad. Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, has been nominated as the BJP candidate from Meerut.

PM Modi expressed confidence in the BJP’s electoral prospects in Western UP, setting an ambitious target of securing 370 seats independently. He cited the successful abrogation of Article 370 and the rapid development of Jammu and Kashmir as evidence of his government’s effective governance.

CM Yogi, in his address, stressed the importance of defeating elements that threaten the country’s social fabric. He rallied support behind PM Modi’s leadership, echoing the slogan “Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar” and endorsing the initiation of the election campaign.

PM Modi concluded his speech by spotlighting the transformative changes witnessed in the past decade, including the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the vibrant Holi celebrations in Awadh. The rally marked the beginning of a fierce electoral battle in Uttar Pradesh, with the BJP rallying support around its leadership and accomplishments while setting ambitious targets for the upcoming polls.
