The North East India Petroleum Dealers Association (NEIPDA) (GGU) has announced a protest called ‘No Purchase No Sale’ starting from 5 am on March 30 until 5 am on April 1. This protest is a result of unresolved concerns related to commission enhancement and other demands.

Kabindra Oja, the vice president of NEIPDA (GGU), highlighted the obstacles that retail outlet (RO) operators are encountering as a result of stagnant commission rates. This has posed a significant challenge for dealers to maintain their operations for more than 7 years.

The decision has been made due to the lack of improvement or revision in the Dealers Commission since 2017, as well as other demands and infringements on the dealer’s rights mentioned in the letter sent to all Oil companies. Despite the significant increase in expenses for running the RO, it has become exceedingly challenging for the dealers to sustain their trade.
