The onset of 2024 has brought exciting news for devoted OnePlus enthusiasts as the brand introduced the highly successful OnePlus 12 series smartphone and the OnePlus Watch 2 earlier this year. Adding to the momentum, the Chinese flagship has now expanded its Nord series roster with the unveiling of its latest mid-range offering – the OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G.
Fueled by the formidable Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G is poised to go head-to-head with recently launched mid-range contenders such as the Nothing Phone 2a, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Realme 12 Pro. Boasting a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, this device offers a visually captivating experience. With additional features like 210Hz touch sampling rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, HDR 10+ color certification, and 10-bit color depth, users can expect immersive visuals.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC coupled with the Adreno 720 GPU, ensuring smooth performance even during graphics-intensive tasks. It offers support for up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, catering to diverse user needs.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony LYT600 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, a 16MP front-facing camera is available for selfies and video calls. The Nord CE 4 5G can capture 4K video at 30fps from the rear camera and 1080p video at 30fps from the front camera.
Ensuring uninterrupted usage, the device is equipped with a substantial 5,500mAh battery, the largest ever in a Nord device, paired with a 100W SUPERVOOC fast charger. OnePlus claims the charger can fully charge the phone in approximately 29 minutes.
Available in Dark Chrome and Celadon Marble color options, the Nord CE 4 5G sports a distinctive pill-shaped camera layout on the back, a dual stereo speaker setup, an IR blaster on the top, and a USB 2.0 port on the bottom. Notably, it boasts IP54 certification for splash and dust resistance.
In terms of connectivity, the CE 4 5G offers support for dual 5G SIM cards, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, and up to 1TB of external SD card storage.
The device starts at Rs. 24,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, with the higher variant featuring 8GB RAM and 256GB storage starting at Rs. 26,999. It will be available for purchase on Amazon starting April 4. Additionally, OnePlus has announced that early buyers will receive a complimentary pair of OnePlus Nord Buds 2r.
