The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has initiated a campaign with the objective of motivating commuters to actively engage in the forthcoming parliamentary elections and exercise their fundamental democratic privilege to cast their vote.
The aforementioned statement is in accordance with the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) diverse efforts to engage and enable citizens, motivating them to actively participate in the electoral process.
Passengers who engage in the initiative by submitting their votes will be eligible for a free upgrade to the Premium Coach from the regular coach on the Namo Bharat train.
To take advantage of this promotion, individuals are required to acquire their regular coach ticket through the ‘RRTS Connect app’ and display their marked finger to the station personnel stationed near the AFC gates of the Premium Lounge on the platform level. This exclusive offer is solely accessible on April 26th.
The Namo Bharat train consists of six coaches, wherein one coach is specifically designated as a premium coach, while the remaining five coaches are categorized as standard coaches. Passengers who make their bookings for the standard coach tickets through the ‘RRTS Connect App’ are entitled to avail this upgrade.
Aligned with the Election Commission of India’s campaign ‘Chunav Ka Parv, Desh Ka Garv’, this initiative is geared towards increasing voter engagement in the upcoming General Elections of 2024. The primary goal is to cultivate a spirit of communal belonging and civic duty among commuters, emphasizing the significance of active involvement in the electoral procedures.
Passengers have the chance to enjoy the enhanced comfort and convenience of the Premium Coach on the Namo Bharat train provided by NCRTC. The roomy and cozy Premium Coach on the Namo Bharat trains comes equipped with cushioned reclining seats, as well as charging points for mobile phones and laptops conveniently located at every seat, ensuring seamless work and entertainment for passengers. It also showcases an array of amenities that cater specifically to commuters, such as convenient coat hooks, practical magazine holders, and comfortable footrests, among various other offerings.
As the construction progresses swiftly on the remaining sections of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor, NCRTC maintains its commitment to providing a top-notch transportation system by the projected operational target of June 2025.
