With temperatures on the rise in the plains of northern India, the nearby town of Nainital in Uttarakhand is experiencing a significant increase in tourists from all over the country looking to escape the intense heat. The lakeside town is bustling with visitors, and local shopkeepers and traders are pleased with the surge in business brought about by the influx of tourists.
Tourists are visiting major sites like Snow View Point, Himalaya Darshan, Kilbury, Eco Cave Park, Zoo, Sarita Taal Water Point, Botanical Garden, and Sankat Mochan Mandir, among other popular spots.
The tourism board is ready to welcome visitors. President of the Hotel Association, Digvijay Bisht, noted that Nainital is enjoying pleasant weather, attracting tourists from across India. However, the Lok Sabha elections have caused difficulties for tourists in terms of cash transactions. Efforts are also being made by the district authorities to ensure that tourists do not face unnecessary obstacles.
Superintendent of Police, Prahlad Narayan Meena emphasized the importance of ensuring tourists do not encounter any issues by directing checkpoints not to cause them any inconvenience. The Election Commission of India has announced that the residents of Uttarakhand will participate in a one-phase voting process on April 19.
