Recently, the National Park Authority announced the temporary shutdown of tourism activities at Manas National Park, effective from June 5 until further notice.
This decision entails the suspension of several popular attractions within the park, such as elephant safaris, river rafting, and jeep safaris. These measures are set to begin earlier, with elephant safaris and river rafting ceasing from May 20.
The primary objective of this directive is to ensure the safety and conservation of the park’s natural habitat and wildlife. By temporarily halting tourism activities, authorities aim to reduce human interference and create an environment conducive to the undisturbed flourishing of flora and fauna.
Manas National Park, renowned for its rich biodiversity and picturesque landscapes, has been a preferred destination for nature enthusiasts and wildlife aficionados. However, with this temporary closure, visitors will have to await further notice to immerse themselves in the sanctuary’s beauty.
While the closure may disappoint tourists and locals alike, it underscores the importance of prioritizing environmental preservation and wildlife conservation endeavours. Authorities urge visitors to adhere to guidelines and cooperate with the measures implemented to safeguard the ecological equilibrium of Manas National Park.
