Madhya Pradesh has set a remarkable world record for planting the highest number of trees within 24 hours. On Sunday, the state organized an extraordinary plantation drive in Indore, successfully planting an impressive 11 lakh saplings in just one day.

INDORE’S RECORD-BREAKING PLANTATION DRIVE

This monumental effort took place in the Revati Range. It witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 60,000 individuals from diverse backgrounds. The event culminated in the presentation of a Guinness World Records certificate to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, officially recognizing the state’s achievement.

Previously, the record for the most saplings planted by a team in 24 hours belonged to Assam’s forest department. On September 14, 2023, Assam set the record by planting 9,21,730 saplings in Udalguri. Madhya Pradesh’s new record not only surpasses this achievement but also underscores the state’s unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability and reforestation.

ORGANIZED EFFORT: REVATI RANGE’S NINE ZONES AND 98 SUB-ZONES

To organize the record-setting plantation drive, the Revati Range in Indore was systematically divided into nine zones and 98 sub-zones. Furthermore, organizations and groups were allocated specific zones to ensure the smooth execution of the extensive tree-planting operation. A team of 21 members from Guinness World Records supervised the event to ensure accuracy and adherence to record-setting standards.

Hence, this success highlights the power of collective action and community involvement in achieving significant environmental goals. Madhya Pradesh’s record-breaking achievement is set to inspire similar initiatives across the country and stress the importance of large-scale environmental actions. Moreover, the state’s dedication to reforestation serves as a powerful example of how coordinated efforts can make a substantial impact on global environmental sustainability.
