Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to deliver a speech at an election rally in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur on Friday, followed by a public meeting in Barmer and a roadshow in Dausa, Rajasthan for the Lok Sabha elections.
The Udhampur Parliamentary seat witnessed the Prime Minister’s presence as he delivered a speech at 11 am in the Modi Ground. Following this, a roadshow was conducted in the same location. Jitendra Singh, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has been nominated for the Udhampur Parliamentary seat for the third consecutive time.
Udhampur is scheduled to cast its vote on April 19 during the initial phase. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious in three out of the six seats in Jammu and Kashmir, while the National Conference secured the remaining three seats.
Following his address in Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to deliver a public speech at the Adarsh Stadium in Barmer at 2:45 pm. This event aims to support the BJP candidate, Kailash Choudhary, running for the Jaisalmer Lok Sabha constituency. Subsequently, the Prime Minister will embark on a roadshow in Dausa at 4:45 pm. The roadshow will commence from Gandhi Tirahe and culminate at Gupteshwar Darwaza, where a significant gathering of constituents from this Lok Sabha constituency is expected.
In the reserved constituency of Dausa, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated Kanhaiya Lal Meena to contest against Murari Lal Meena from the Congress party. It is worth mentioning that Jaskaur Meena, also from the BJP, emerged victorious in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Dausa.
It is important to note that Rajasthan contributes 25 Members of Parliament (MPs) to the Lok Sabha. The polling for these seats will take place in two phases on April 19 and 26. The votes will be counted on June 4. In the previous 2014 elections, the BJP had secured all 25 seats in the state. Similarly, in 2019, the BJP-led alliance managed to win all 25 seats, with the BJP itself winning 24 of them.
