State-level meetings are being conducted by Rajasthan Health officials due to the occurrence of swine flu and leptospirosis cases in the state.
According to an official from the Rajasthan Health Department, Jaipur has 17 active cases of swine flu, while Sriganganagar has 21 cases. The official mentioned that all cases are mild and do not necessitate hospitalization.
Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur, the Director of the Rajasthan Health Department, stated that out of 424 samples collected yesterday, only 7 tested positive. These 7 cases are mild and are currently being managed at home. He mentioned the ongoing state-level meetings conducted by health authorities. Currently, there are 17 active cases in Jaipur and 21 in Sriganganagar.
Additionally, he emphasized that the vulnerable group should wear masks and refrain from traveling. If symptoms persist, individuals should seek medical examination.
He also mentioned that leptospirosis is transmitted through the urine of rodents.
In 10 districts, its impact has been observed, with a total of 32 cases reported so far, fortunately without any fatalities. Maintaining proper hygiene is crucial as a precautionary measure. Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur illustrated a potential scenario where rats in a storeroom could contaminate an abandoned cold drink can with their urine, which, if reused, could contribute to the spread of the infection. Additionally, he noted that Jaipur has seen 15 cases of the illness.
