As the Delhi elections approach, tensions within the INDIA alliance formed ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, are intensifying. The AAP and Congress, two key members of the alliance, are now engaged in a rivalry over the Delhi elections.
CONGRESS BLAMED AS CRACK WIDENS IN INDIA ALLIANCE
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has expressed frustration over Congress’ role in the lack of coordination within the alliance. He pointed out that the absence of regular meetings and dialogue since the 2024 elections has led to increasing doubts among alliance members about its effectiveness and cohesion.
CALLS FOR DIGNITY AS AAP, CONGRESS CLASH IN DELHI
Raut has also raised concerns about the escalating conflict between AAP and Congress, particularly in the upcoming Delhi elections. While he acknowledged that contesting independently is acceptable, he stressed the need for the opposition to maintain dignity and patience. A united front will be critical in the future if the alliance is to effectively challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
RAUT URGES CONGRESS TO CLARIFY POSITION
Raut further criticized the situation, urging Congress to either reaffirm its commitment to the alliance or officially withdraw. With the public closely watching these developments, Raut emphasized that the INDIA alliance must demonstrate unity, especially as both AAP and Congress will need to come together for future national elections.
