Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of Investopia, was present at the introduction of a recently launched investment fund worth USD 10 million by the IOTA Ecosystem DLT Foundation at Investopia 2024.
The main objective of the fund is to foster the growth of Trade-Tech solutions and aid start-ups and venture projects that are centred around digital technology initiatives and the tokenization of tangible assets.
The announcement is in line with Investopia’s mission to inspire entrepreneurs to venture into new economic sectors by providing them with the necessary tools and opportunities to promote the growth and success of their innovative projects.
In collaboration with TLIP, a specialized digital platform for trade data storage and exchange, the fund aims to improve the trade technology landscape and promote a more interconnected, efficient, and accessible global trade system. Additionally, it aims to offer trade financing solutions to businesses and governments. This initiative is in line with the UAE’s commitment to advancing technology in global trade, with the support of Investopia. The primary focus will be on supporting start-ups based in the UAE across Africa.
