The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy Tour in the Caribbean kicks off today, beginning in Barbados, the prestigious venue for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final on 29 June.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup trophy will embark on a voyage across Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Lucia from 12 to 20 April. Subsequently, it will embark on another tour from 16 to 24 May, covering Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana.

The commencement of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy Tour on an international scale took place in the United States, where renowned players Ali Khan and Chris Gayle illuminated the Empire State Building. The six host venues in the West Indies, eagerly awaiting the arrival of T20 cricket’s most esteemed global accolade, are fully prepared to embrace the opportunity for fans to witness and capture memorable photographs with the prestigious trophy.

Before a sporting event, a trophy tour is conducted to transport the trophy to different locations, spanning cities or even countries, with the aim of sparking excitement and promoting the upcoming competition. This initiative is designed to engage fans, sponsors, and media outlets by showcasing the trophy and building anticipation for the event.

The Trophy Tour presents exciting opportunities for the public to take part in cultural displays and celebrations at each stop, with notable stops planned at major locations like Broad Street in Barbados, St. John’s in Antigua and Barbuda, and Constitution Park in Saint Lucia. In addition to the fan-centric activities, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy will be showcased at iconic landmarks and amidst cultural exhibitions, aiming to inspire future cricketers through school visits, interactions with cricket legends, and cricket showcases within communities.

The local organizing committees at each venue are encouraging fans, cricket enthusiasts, families, and all those interested to partake in the celebrations leading up to the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup in 2024. Tickets for this highly anticipated event, which will showcase 39 matches with the finest cricketers from around the globe, are currently obtainable for purchase.
