In a chilling and disturbing incident, a former Army man, Gurumurthy, allegedly killed his wife, Madhavi, in Jillelaguda, Hyderabad, before dismembering her body and attempting to destroy the evidence. The shocking crime surfaced when Madhavi’s parents filed a missing person report on January 18, 2025, after growing suspicious about her sudden disappearance.
Gurumurthy, a retired Army personnel, who worked as a security guard, initially feigned ignorance about his wife’s whereabouts. However, after police began investigating the case, it was revealed that the murder occurred following an argument between the couple. Madhavi reportedly wanted to visit her family in Nandyal, which may have provoked Gurumurthy. The accused allegedly killed her, chopped her body into pieces, and boiled parts in a pressure cooker in an attempt to destroy evidence. He then disposed of the dismembered body parts in a nearby lake.
The police, after arresting Gurumurthy, confirmed that the case was being treated as a murder investigation. Although the body parts have not yet been recovered, further investigations are underway. The authorities are working to uncover more details about the crime and are hoping to locate the remains. Meanwhile, Gurumurthy remains in police custody as the search for the truth continues.
