A terrorist was eliminated during a clash between security forces and terrorists in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, as per the police. The police confirmed that the body of an unidentified terrorist was recovered from the Frassipora village where the encounter took place.
During a cordon and search operation in the Arshipora area of Pulwama district, an exchange of fire occurred. This operation was initiated by security forces after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the vicinity. Arms, ammunition and incriminating material was also recovered.
Senior police authorities have verified that the terrorists opened fire on the search team, prompting the security forces to respond. It is suspected that another terrorist is currently cornered. The exchange of gunfire is ongoing.
