By Sach Reality Bureau | May 01, 2026
In a major development in breaking news Assam, Dhubri Police have busted a fake HSLC certificate racket and arrested one individual in connection with the case. The incident has raised serious concerns about fraudulent activities targeting students across the region.
Police Raid and Arrest
The operation was carried out on April 29, during which police arrested Jahidul Hussain from an institute located in Magurmari Dongerpar in Dhubri district. Authorities confirmed that the accused was involved in producing and distributing fake academic certificates.
Fake Marksheets Circulated
According to initial reports, the racket allegedly forged and circulated fake HSLC marksheets under the names of education boards from Tamil Nadu and other regions. These documents were reportedly sold to students and families under the false promise of authenticity.
Documents Seized
During the raid, police seized multiple counterfeit certificates, printing materials, and related evidence. Officials believe the operation could be part of a larger network involved in education-related fraud.
Investigation Ongoing
Police are continuing their investigation to identify other individuals connected to the racket and to trace victims who may have been misled. More arrests are likely as authorities expand the probe.
