In a tragic incident highlighted under latest news Assam, Papori Deka from Assam’s Morigaon district reportedly died after suffering from altitude sickness while travelling to Kedarnath Temple during the Char Dham pilgrimage.

According to family members, she fell ill while trekking towards the shrine and passed away just 500 metres away from the Kedarnath temple premises.

Reports suggest that Papori experienced severe health complications linked to altitude sickness while making the uphill journey to the temple in Uttarakhand.

Despite efforts during the pilgrimage route, she could not survive the medical emergency.

Her body was brought back to her native village on Thursday, where grief spread across the locality as relatives, neighbours, and well-wishers gathered to mourn her untimely death.
