In a busy market area in Ghazipur, Delhi, a speeding car crashed into residents, killing one and injuring several others. The event happened on Wednesday night. According to police, the dead has been identified as 22-year-old Sita Devi.
The people apprehended the driver, who was allegedly driving a vehicle while being drunk, and turned him over to the authorities. The driver of the murderous car was apprehended and was being treated for his injuries, according to the police, who also stated that additional action was being taken in accordance with due process.
Seven of the fifteen individuals who were struck by the automobile at Budh Bazaar, Ghazipur, are reportedly in critical condition. All of them were hurried to the adjacent Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. About 9:30 pm, the driver of the taxi, who was apparently intoxicated, crashed his vehicle into the packed Budh Bazaar neighbourhood of Ghazipur when it was traveling to Mayur Vihar Phase 3.
Surveillance cameras placed along the road saw the automobile abruptly losing control and swerving to the left, smashing into several shops and a guy with a handcart. The automobile reverses and speeds off as the locals assemble and begin smashing the windshield.
A second CCTV camera captures the car erratically going off course along the crowded and narrow road a few seconds later, with onlookers pursuing it on foot.
