A disturbing occurrence involves a group of young people who identify as members of the ‘Bir Lachit’ gang and who are suspected of robbing someone.
The victim, known as Bhupen Gogoi, claims that the offenders used a phony Army identity to participate in honey trapping.
Gogoi’s statement, which was submitted to the Dispur police station, claims that the incident included the theft of a car and ₹50,000 in cash. Furthermore, it was stated that the group asked Gogoi for ₹7 lakh.
The names of the accused in the FIR are Tapan Sharma, also known as Tapan Assam, Jayanta Sharma, also known as Jayanta Asom, and Manoj Deka, also known as Manoj Asom.
The seriousness of the situation intensified when the group not only endangered Gogoi’s life but also tried to assault his rented residence. Such bold acts of intimidation worsen the gravity of the offense.
Without delay, the victim, Bhupen Gogoi, pursued legal action by promptly lodging a First Information Report (FIR) with the local authorities.
