Bisleri International organized a series of impactful events across India in dedication to environmental conservation, aligning with the United Nations’ 8 sustainable development goals (SDGs).
These initiatives covered awareness sessions, plastic collection drives, tree plantation campaigns, and beach clean-ups, spanning across 13 cities including New Delhi, Noida, Chandigarh, Kargil, Jaipur, Gurugram, Chennai, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pondicherry, Coimbatore, and Vishakhapatnam. Collaborating with recyclers, educational institutions, and 16 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Bisleri aimed to extend its reach and foster collective commitment to environmental stewardship.
K Ganesh, Director CSR & Public Affairs at Bisleri International, emphasized the collaborative aspect of their efforts, stating that partnerships enabled them to achieve milestones in environmental sustainability. Through these partnerships, 1,925 saplings were planted in eight cities, and 22.699 metric tonnes of used plastic were collected from 13 cities. Beach clean-ups were conducted to preserve marine habitats, while 82 events and awareness sessions educated over 14,245 citizens about environmental conservation.
Additionally, efforts resulted in the reduction of 38.59 metric tonnes of carbon emissions, saving 412.448 kilolitres of water, 131.067 megawatt-hour (MWH) of energy, and eliminating landfill space of 18386.6 cubic feet.
