Assam was honored when the Assamese film ‘Mini’ was screened at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday, with President Droupadi Murmu and the film’s cast and crew in attendance.

Arunjit Borah was the director of ‘Mini’, while Pankaj Mahanta takes charge of production under the esteemed PM Associates. This film delves into the difficulty journey of the tea tribes of Assam, highlighting their enduring struggles and triumphs. With a rich history spanning two centuries, ‘Mini’ showcases the remarkable heritage of these communities.

The movie features Urmila Mahanta, Boloram Das, Pankaj Mahanta, and several other veteran actors. A majority of the cast, which also includes producers and directors, attended the exclusive screening of the film at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.

During the exclusive screening of the movie at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Murmu was said to have derived pleasure from the film and conveyed his contentment. Pankaj Mahanta, the producer of the film, extended his thanks for the chance to showcase ‘Mini’ at a renowned location, recognizing the contribution of Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in facilitating this event.
