Hillang Yajik from Arunachal Pradesh has been chosen to represent India in two esteemed international competitions- the 56th Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship, 2024, and the 15th WBPF World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship, 2024.
The selection trials, held by the Indian Body Builders Federation in collaboration with the Bodybuilding Association of Kerala, occurred in Ernakulam, Kochi, on May 11th and 12th. Hillang Yajik, originating from the Kurung Kumey district of Arunachal Pradesh, stood out during these trials.
Yanu Kipa, the interim general secretary of the Arunachal Bodybuilding Association, affirmed that Hillang Yajik will participate in the women’s model physique and swimsuit women’s physique events at the international tournaments. This acknowledgment underscores Yajik’s commitment and skill in the field of bodybuilding and physique sports.
The 56th Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship is slated to happen in Batam, Indonesia, from August 6th to 12th, bringing together top athletes from Asia to demonstrate their abilities. Following that, the 15th WBPF World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship will be hosted in Maldives from November 5th to 11th, providing a global stage for elite competitors to vie for prestigious titles.
Hillang Yajik’s journey to these global platforms follows her recent achievement in the 13th Federation Cup, where she secured a silver medal in the women’s sports physique category.
