Security forces successfully prevented an attempt to cross the Line of Control in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, resulting in the elimination of a terrorist, according to officials. Army forces stationed at Sabura Nala Rustam in the Uri area of the district detected unusual activity along the LoC and confronted the infiltrators.
The ongoing operation has resulted in fierce clashes between security forces and terrorists, with one terrorist confirmed dead so far.
On X, the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army officially announced, “Today, our vigilant troops successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri Sector. The terrorists were attempting to infiltrate through Sabura Nala. We are pleased to report that one terrorist has been neutralized.”
The region of URI, located in the northern area of Jammu and Kashmir, has experienced numerous infiltrations attempts by terrorist groups seeking to disturb the peace and stability in the area.
