The list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections was released today by the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF).
From the Dhubri seat, party leader Badruddin Ajmal will be seeking re-election to the Lok Sabha four times. Sahabul Islam Choudhury will be contesting from Karimganj and Aminul Islam will be contesting from Nagaon. Muslim voters predominate in Nagaon, Karimganj, and Dhubri, three Assamese Lok Sabha constituencies.
During its press conference earlier today, the Election Commission of India revealed the timeline for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as well as various state assembly polls. The news conference is scheduled to begin tomorrow, March 16, at 3 pm, It will be broadcast live on the official social media platforms of the ECI.
