On Monday, six schools in Ahmedabad received bomb threats via email, following the recent targeting of over 130 schools in the Delhi-NCR region.
The schools were being inspected by the police, bomb disposal squad, and crime branch teams. This recent occurrence occurred one day prior to the Lok Sabha Elections in the state, where all seats (excluding Surat, where BJP won uncontested), will be contested on Tuesday.
The schools that were targeted by the threatening emails were Delhi Public School (Bopal), Anand Niketan (Bopal), Asia English School (Vastrapur), Calorex School (Ghatlodiya), Amrita Vidyalaya (Ghatlodiya), New Noble School, and ONGC Kendriya Vidyalaya (Chandkheda).
The schools received a threatening message via email, which originated from a server located in Russia. The email included Arabic words and conveyed a threat to bomb the schools.
Despite the absence of any alarming discoveries at this point, officials continue to be unwavering in their investigation, emphasizing the seriousness with which they are addressing the issue.
The CBI has taken immediate action to address the seriousness of the situation by commencing a thorough investigation in partnership with Russian authorities via Interpol channels.
