Today, on May 19, a chariot procession was organized as part of this magnificent festival. The event attracted a substantial gathering of devotees who fervently participated in the procession. Many devotees showcased their devotion by playing diverse musical instruments, while others offered their prayers to the deity.
The Vaikasi Visakam Festival holds great significance for Tamilians as it commemorates the birth anniversary of Lord Murugan. Year after year, this festival captivates thousands of devotees, drawing them to the temple to seek blessings and partake in the festivities.
It is worth noting that in the year 2020, the festival had to be cancelled due to the lockdown imposed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
