Tezpur is getting ready to host this year’s state-level central program marking the 10th International Yoga Day on June 21.
To prepare for the event, a preparatory meeting was held under the leadership of Sonitpur District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra at the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s Office in Sonitpur, Tezpur, on Saturday.
During the meeting, Mishra directed all participants to carefully plan and make necessary arrangements to ensure the successful observance of the day. He stressed the significance of organizing the event appropriately. Several aspects were addressed, including the selection and preparation of a suitable venue, training for instructors, and ensuring the involvement of students, athletes, yoga practitioners, prominent citizens, and the public.
District Development Commissioner Gaya Prasad Agarwal, CEO of Zilla Parishad Karabi Saikia Karan, along with additional district commissioners, the Circle Officer of Tezpur Revenue Circle, all assistant commissioners, the Joint Director of Health Services, the Inspector of Schools, the District Sports Officer, and representatives from the Tezpur District Sports Association, as well as other officials from relevant departments of the district administration, attended the meeting.
