The Assam Police Headquarters paid tribute to Lance Naik Manoj Gogoi, a devoted member of the 5th Assam Police Battalion, recognizing his courageous and altruistic service.

Lance Naik Manoj Gogoi, aged 38, and hailing from Naojan Village in Golaghat, demonstrated unwavering dedication in fulfilling his duties, epitomizing the ethos of selfless service.

Lance Naik Manoj Gogoi was assigned to election duty in Chhattisgarh, where he tragically passed away due to illness. Reports suggest that he contracted Malaria during his service, leading to his premature demise on May 8 at Sanjeevani Hospital in Surguja district’s Ambikapur.

The mortal remains of Lance Naik Manoj Gogoi were transported to the Assam Police Headquarters in Guwahati in the early hours of Friday. In a tweet, the Assam Police expressed their condolences for the fallen hero, underscoring his dedication and over 13 years of service to the force.

Born on July 15, 1986, in Sarupathar, Golaghat district, Lance Naik Manoj Gogoi is survived by his grieving family, including his wife and four children. His devotion to duty and sacrifices for the nation are deeply mourned and respected by the Assam Police and the entire community.
