On Friday night in Amingaon, North Guwahati, a police constable sadly lost his life when he was hit by a speeding truck.
In a devastating incident close to the Sharaighat bridge, a police constable tragically passed away following a collision with a truck. The deceased officer, identified as Havildar Gopal Prasad Chaudhary, was a committed member of the police force from Kulhati, Hajo.
The event unfolded while Chaudhary was on duty in Guwahati, approximately at 4 am. Promptly, the Amingaon traffic police arrived at the site, retrieving Chaudhary’s body and conveying it to Tolaram Bafna Hospital for required procedures.
Furthermore, the motorcycle belonging to the deceased was discovered at the scene of the accident, providing valuable assistance to the authorities in their investigation.
Jalukbari traffic police confiscated a 10-wheeler truck with registration number NL 01 AG 2601, which is believed to have been implicated in the accident resulting in the unfortunate death of Havildar Gopal Prasad Chaudhary.
