Hema Malini, BJP Member of Parliament and candidate for the Mathura constituency, has been actively engaged in campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls. In a recent visit to Uttar Pradesh, she took the opportunity to explore a wheat field and shared several pictures of her interaction with the local farmers on her X account.

Hema Malini appeared to be in high spirits as she enthusiastically assisted the women labouring in the field and even joined them for a memorable photo session at the farm. “Today I went into the farms to interact with the farmers who I have been meeting regularly these 10 years. They loved having me in their midst and insisted I pose with them which I did,” she wrote.

Hema Malini has been nominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party for the Mathura Lok Sabha seat for the third consecutive term. The BJP held a strong position in Mathura from 1991 to 1999, winning the seat four times. However, in 2004, the Congress party secured victory in Mathura. In 2009, Jayant Chaudhary from the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) became the Member of Parliament from Mathura.

Hema Malini emerged as the victorious candidate for the BJP in 2014. During the 2019 elections, her husband, actor Dharmendra, actively supported her campaign and managed to attract a substantial crowd in her support. Thanks to the effective public welfare initiatives implemented by the ruling government, Mathura witnessed the flourishing of the lotus symbol once again in 2019, leading to Hema Malini’s successful election as an MP.

Uttar Pradesh, known for sending the highest number of Members of Parliament, with a total of 80 seats, will participate in all seven phases of the upcoming elections. The voting for the first and second phases is scheduled for April 19 and April 26. Subsequently, the state will go to polls once again in the third and fourth phases on May 7 and May 13. The electorate of Uttar Pradesh will also cast their votes in the fifth, sixth, and seventh phases on May 20, May 23, and June 1, respectively. Additionally, Mathura will conduct voting during the second phase of the general elections on April 26.
