The Guwahati police have achieved a major breakthrough by apprehending a well-known fraudster suspected of running a sophisticated scam that duped people of enormous quantities of money. The arrested scammer has been identified as Bharat Poddar.
Bharat Poddar’s social media handle shows he is an event manager and specializes in arranging private charters as well as acting as a helicopter booking agent. According to reports, Poddar allegedly conducted his illegal operations by pretending to handling a travel agency, enticing victims with attractive travel packages, and subsequently setting up his fraudulent scheme. In response to reliable information, the Assam police apprehended Poddar during the evening hours of Wednesday.
Poddar’s deceptive behaviour was not limited to Guwahati, as sources have indicated that it extended beyond the boundaries of the city. Numerous complaints have been filed against him in various jurisdictions, prompting further investigation.
