Union Home Minister Amit Shah marked this year’s Holi celebrations as particularly significant for devotees of Lord Ram worldwide. This holds special importance as it follows the recent Prana Pratishtha of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. Joined by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Shah emphasized the festival’s symbolism of truth prevailing over falsehood and equality, where distinctions blur as everyone gets drenched in colours.

Speaking at the event in Ahmedabad, Shah stated, “Today, the entire country is celebrating Holi. My greetings to all citizens of the country… For Lord Ram devotees across the world, this is a special Holi… Today Raghuvir is playing Holi in Awadh. It is a matter of great joy for us.”

Meanwhile, Union Minister Anurag Thakur celebrated Holi in Delhi and expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s re-election for a third consecutive term in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Thakur highlighted the country’s progress over the past decade under the BJP government, foreseeing India becoming the world’s third-largest economy.

In an interview with the media, Thakur extended his Holi greetings to the nation and urged continued support for the BJP government. “I would like to extend my greetings to the people of the country on this festival of colour, Holi. I appeal to all to keep blessing the BJP government,” he said.

Highlighting the government’s achievements, Thakur emphasized, “In the last 10 years, the country has reached new heights. He (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) is going to be elected for the third term, and we will become the third-largest economy in the world.”
