In order to increase support for its candidates from Kerala, where the saffron party has never before had a substantial electoral victory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized a massive roadshow here on Tuesday. Modi was expressing the importance that the BJP-led NDA has given to Kerala in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

the PM’s cavalcade at around 10:30 am, which included Modi standing atop an open-roofed car adorned with numerous flowers, left Kottamaidan Anchuvilakku and headed in the direction of the Head Post Office in the town.

The Prime Minister arrived in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, via helicopter. BJP state president K Surendran, NDA candidates C Krishnakumar, who is running from the Palakkad seat, and Niveditha Subramanian, who is running for the Ponnani seat, accompanied Modi on the open-roof car.

Thousands of people braved the sweltering heat to line both sides of the roughly one-kilometre roadshow path, including BJP supporters donning party caps, flowers, garlands, party flags, and banners supporting Modi.

In addition, they showered Modi with flowers while he wore a saffron colored Nehru cap.
In return for the warm reception from the assembly, the PM repeatedly threw flowers at the people on both sides of the street.

Thousands of people, despite the soaring temperatures, had congregated hours in advance of the Prime Minister’s arrival and sparked a joyous ambiance all around the roadshow route.
Following his appearance at a public gathering in Pathanamthitta town on March 15, when he mobilized support for NDA candidates running in the southern Kerala seats, Modi is currently on a roadshow in Palakkad.

Krishnakumar C, BJP’s candidate in the 2019 general elections, received 21.24 percent of the total votes cast from this seat, contributing to the party’s increased vote share in the Lok Sabha elections. In the last three months, Modi has made five trips to the state. In January, he has already made two trips to Kerala, once in February and another in March.
