The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian men’s cricket team’s complete calendar for 2026, with the T20 World Cup forming the centrepiece of a busy year. Fans now know when and where the team will play across formats as India targets major silverware on home soil and abroad.

India will kick-off the year with a home T20I series against a strong touring side, followed by multi-format tours and warm-ups before heading into the World Cup. The global marquee event — scheduled to be staged in India later in the year — will see the Men in Blue competing for their first T20 World Cup title on home turf, a major moment for fans and players alike.

In addition to the T20 World Cup fixtures, the schedule includes important bilateral tours. India will travel for Test series in traditional venues, including tough away conditions in Australia and England. White-ball preparations include ODI series that are vital for team balance ahead of the World Cup. The team will also play continental tournaments and multi-nation series designed to prepare pace, spin and batting units across conditions.

The BCCI has spaced the fixtures to give key players rest and recovery windows between major events. Support staff and selectors are expected to use the early part of the year to fine-tune the squad, test bench strength and ensure readiness for peak performance at the T20 World Cup.

Officials say the full itinerary balances competitive cricket with player workload management, while offering fans across India and around the world ample opportunities to watch international cricket.

The detailed match dates, venues and broadcast plans will be released closer to each series, but the broad framework confirms that 2026 will be one of the most cricket-intensive years in recent memory for Indian cricket.
