A major terror module has been exposed following the deadly Red Fort car blast that killed eight people. Delhi and Haryana Police, along with Jammu and Kashmir authorities, arrested seven individuals, including doctors and clerics, who allegedly operated a sophisticated network under the guise of professionals. The group was linked to Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad, where over 2,900 kilograms of explosives and bomb-making materials were seized.
Dr Umar, identified as the suspected suicide bomber and mastermind, reportedly rushed the execution of the blast after the network’s exposure. Two other doctors, Dr Muzammil Ahmad Ganai and Dr Adeel Rather, were also arrested, while a cleric from Shopian was accused of radicalising youth. The group used encrypted communication channels to coordinate logistics and funding.
Investigators believe the Red Fort blast was directly connected to the explosives recovered from Faridabad. The NIA has taken over the probe, which now focuses on uncovering inter-state and possible cross-border links behind this alarming “white-collar terror ring.”
