In the wake of the horrific Pahalgam terror attack, where 25 tourists and a Kashmiri local were killed, India has launched a major crackdown in Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have targeted the homes of known militants such as Adil Hussain Thoker, Zakir Ahmad Ganai, and Ahsan ul Haq Amir, who are linked to major terror groups operating in the region. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack and vowed to take strong action against those responsible. In a powerful statement, he said that India would not be broken by such acts of terror, and every terrorist and their backers would face severe consequences. The government’s response has included diplomatic measures, such as suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and halting visa services to Pakistani nationals.
