The 71st Miss World Finale is back in India after a gap of 28 years, which is a significant moment in the international pageant’s history. The finale will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on Saturday, March 9. The event will be live streamed from 7:30 pm on SonyLiv, for Indian viewers.
It is shaping up to be a grand event which will be hosted by former Miss World Megan Young, Miss World 2013 winner and filmmaker Karan Johar. Apart from these two exciting hosts, the final night promises to be an unforgettable show with spectacular performances.
The audience can look forward to an evening filled with glamour and entertainment as the event will showcase the talents of Shaan, who is one of the most successful, popular singers in the Hindi film industry with a career spanning over three decades years. He has won several prestigious awards such as Filmfare, GIMA, and MTV Asia awards and has performed on global stages.
It also has Neha Kakkar, and Tony Kakkar, who are known for their dynamic and engaging performances. With such a line-up of stars, the event is sure to be a night to remember, celebrating beauty, talent, and cultural diversity on a global stage. The chairman and chief editor of India TV, Rajat Sharma is one of the 12 judges who will be on the panel. Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh, actors Pooja Hegde and Kriti Sanon are also included on the judge panel.
Representing India, Sini Shetty, 22, stormed into the Top 20 of the 2024 Miss World Top Model, winning the title of Best Designer Dress from Asia & Oceania. In the talent section of Miss World, she paid homage to former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who won the title in 1994.
Originally from Karnataka, at 5 feet, 9 inches Sini Shetty is also greatly inspired by another former Miss World- Priyanka Chopra. A graduate in Accounts and Finance, Shetty is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer who learnt the classical form of Radhakrishnan Padmini.
