Indian cricketers Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah have been honored with spots in the ICC Men’s Test Team of the Year 2024. Their exceptional performances throughout the year cemented their positions among the world’s best Test players.
Jaiswal emerged as a standout batter, amassing 1,478 runs in 2024, the second-highest tally of the year. “This recognition is a dream come true. Representing India and performing consistently is always my goal,” said Jaiswal.
Jadeja, known for his all-round contributions, scored 527 runs and took 48 wickets. He stated, “It’s an honor to be recognized. Every game, I aim to contribute to the team in any way I can.”
Bumrah, who dominated with the ball, claimed a staggering 71 wickets at an average of 14.92, making him the highest wicket-taker of the year. Reflecting on the achievement, Bumrah said, “This has been a special year for me. I’m grateful to my team and fans for their unwavering support.”
The ICC Men’s Test Team of the Year also includes global stars like Joe Root, Kane Williamson, and Pat Cummins, recognizing outstanding performances across the cricketing world.
