Three women from India in Gujarat lost their lives and one individual sustained injury in a tragic car collision that occurred in Greenville County, South Carolina.

The SUV they were traveling in was speeding and abruptly swerved across multiple lanes, ultimately ascending an embankment and soaring approximately 20 feet in the air. The vehicle then collided with trees on the opposite side, resulting in the devastating outcome. The identities of the three women who lost their lives in the accident have been confirmed as Rekhaben Patel, Sangitaben Patel, and Manishaben Patel, who were all living in the Anand district of Gujarat.

Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis mentioned that the vehicle was discovered shattered following the collision and confirmed that no other vehicles were part of the incident.

The car was heading in a northerly direction on Interstate 85 when it veered off the road and cleared four lanes of traffic. The coroner’s office, along with various other agencies, is investigating to determine the speed at which the vehicle was traveling. The South Carolina Highway Patrol, Gannt Fire and Rescue, and several Greenville County EMS units all arrived at the location to aid.

The only person to survive the accident, the driver, was allegedly injured and taken to the hospital, with their condition currently uncertain. Family members were alerted to the crash by the vehicle’s detection system, prompting them to notify local authorities in South Carolina.
