Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed 11 years in office, marking a significant milestone in India’s modern political history. From pioneering large-scale welfare reforms to positioning India as a global economic and strategic force, the decade under PM Modi’s leadership has been characterized by transformative governance, inclusive growth, and visionary policymaking.

To mark the occasion, PM Modi went to the NaMo App, showcasing major milestones and inviting citizens to look at India’s development across sectors. People were also encouraged by the Prime Minister to take part in a public survey on India’s growth path.

Important Achievements in 11 Years, Digital India & Financial Reforms
More than 42 lac kilometres of optical fibre cable laid under the banner of the Digital India mission, thus increasing internet connectivity in rural areas. An almost overnight shift toward cashless transactions has been witnessed through growth in UPI and digital payment platforms. DBT was used for more than ₹44 lakh crore transferred directly to beneficiaries in a transparent manner and reduced leakages. Under the Mudra Yojana, over 52.5 crore entrepreneurs-micro & other Service Enterprise sectors, especially women and youth-had easy access to credit.

Health Care & Welfare Schemes
The Ayushman Bharat scheme has ensured free medical care to more than 9 crore patients, making it the largest health assurance program in the world. The PM Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) has completed 9 years, considerably expanding maternal healthcare coverage. The government also consolidated the health ecosystem in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, emphasizing accessibility and affordability.

Sanitation and Basic Amenities
More than 12 crore toilets have been built under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, significantly enhancing rural sanitation. More than 80 percent of rural households have been brought drinking water with piped supply through the Jal Jeevan Mission. Clean LPG connections have swept into crores of households to make rural cooking much cleaner under the Ujjwala Yojana. With more than 30 crore Soil Health Cards issued, soil and crop management has undergone a change like never before. Farm sector reforms with higher procurement and agri-infrastructure building forms the core of the initiatives taken to support rural development.

National Security & Strategic Reforms
Union Home Minister Amit Shah credited PM Modi for making India more secure and self-reliant, particularly through defense manufacturing and border management. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized India’s emergence as one of the top five global economies, attributing this success to focused governance.

The North-East region, once plagued by insurgency, has witnessed a turnaround with improved law and order and investments in connectivity and infrastructure. Several initiatives have bridged the developmental gap and integrated the region with the national mainstream.

The Ministry of Minority Affairs reported wide-ranging digital reforms and social inclusion programs that have benefited underprivileged communities. Speaker Om Birla emphasized the role of India’s youth in nation-building, lauding PM Modi’s focus on skill development and innovation.

Looking Ahead
As the Modi government starts its third term, the aim is to build a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047. The Prime Minister still emphasizes the people’s involvement (Jan Bhagidari) in policymaking, emphasizing the participative nature of democracy.
